Ingredients
750ml Dry Red wine
1 Orange, peeled and cut into rounds
1 Lemon, sliced
1/3 cup Honey
6 Cloves
2 Cinnamon stick
2 Star anise
100ml Brandy
Method
Put all the ingredients in a large pan except the brandy.
Simmer gently for 10-15 mins, being careful not to let the mixture boil.
Lower the heat even more and let it steep for an hour, again don't let the mix simmer or boil.
Add the brandy, stir through and strain out the spices.
Serve while warm.
